{"id":631,"date":"2017-03-02T10:05:35","date_gmt":"2017-03-02T15:05:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/campd\/?p=631"},"modified":"2017-03-02T10:05:35","modified_gmt":"2017-03-02T15:05:35","slug":"march-2-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/campd\/2017\/03\/02\/march-2-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"March 2, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello!<\/p>\n<p>I will be sending home a flyer today about an Educational Workshop that will be taking place at Jo Brighton on May 11, 2017.\u00a0 It is called &#8220;Life Planning for a Child with Special Needs&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0 It will specifically focus on planning for an adult family member with special needs.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Topics will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What will happen to my loved one when I am no longer here?<\/li>\n<li>What is a Special needs Trust and what type should I create?<\/li>\n<li>How does the ABLE Act work?<\/li>\n<li>Why Wills and Trusts alone may not work<\/li>\n<li>What are the government benefits and can and will they be enough?<\/li>\n<li>What are my child&#8217;s future housing options?<\/li>\n<li>How well do your child&#8217;s future caregivers know your Estate Plans?<\/li>\n<li>Have you provided instructions for your child&#8217;s future advocate?<\/li>\n<li>Is your child&#8217;s vital medical information, key resource providers, likes and dislikes, routines and interests and other critical information compiled in one location for future caregivers?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Also, the response for the Tiger&#8217;s Game has been a little less than we anticipated.\u00a0 If we don&#8217;t get enough people to attend we will cancel the event.\u00a0 We were hoping for a good turn out, \u00a0but we understand that the weather will be getting nicer and people start making plans to go away for the weekend, etc.\u00a0 Please send your RSVP in by Friday so we know how to plan!\u00a0 Thank you!<\/p>\n<p>Also just a reminder, we are a <strong>Fragrance Free Classroom!<\/strong>\u00a0 Some of our girls have started brining in perfume\/body spray again.\u00a0 We have several people who are allergic to fragrances and have severe reactions.\u00a0 We reminded the students yesterday not to wear anything they have to &#8220;spray on&#8221;, but this\u00a0also includes the antibacterial gel as they can be SO strong.\u00a0 Thank you for your understanding!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello!
