Things are under way in the Transition Class at Howe School! We will be having our first bake sale this Friday, September 27th and have already started our Sheet Fundraiser. All profits go directly to the classroom so that we can provide more opportunities to our students. Thank you for supporting our class!<\/p>\n
Today we went to Henry Ford Centennial Library for a tour and we students will begin going to the library on alternating Monday’s. Students may check out books, music, games and movies. (Movies must be G or PG only) Students will not be bringing these items home, because we have had a problem with returns in the past, but they will be available here in the classroom every day.<\/p>\n
Topic of the Month: Personal Health Care
\nStudents have been learning about personal health care, and we have been talking about things like:
\n Staying home when you are sick
\n Calling your boss
\n Going to the doctor’s office
\n Taking medicine
\n What\/Where is a pharmacy?<\/p>\n
This week, students began practicing putting “medicine” in a pill container. So if they come home and tell you they took medicine at school, I assure you they did not – they were only jelly beans! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
