Dearborn Goodfellows

Hello All,

The Dearborn Goodfellows will once again hit the streets to sell their holiday paper Friday, December 4 through Sunday, December 6 to make sure “no Dearborn child goes without a Christmas.”

Many of those who will be out selling the special holiday newspaper are your friends, neighbors and colleagues. Our own Superintendent and Cabinet members will be out on Outer Drive and Cherry Hill on Friday between 11 am and 1 pm.

To help out this effort we would like you to place one of the following messages on your outdoor sign this week.  You may also want to place a reminder on your school blog.

Annual holiday paper sale Dec 4 – Dec 6

Since 1923, the Goodfellows have made it their mission to take care of needy children in Dearborn and they estimate helping 900 to 1,100 children each year. Many of those children are students in our schools.

During the holiday season the District works directly with the Goodfellows to provide them with the names of families that are in need. In return the Goodfellows provide gift packages of clothing, books, stuffed animals, and toys to boys and girls between the ages of two and 11 through out our entire city.

In addition, throughout the year the Goodfellows provide financial support for special emergencies on an individual basis.

Thanks for your help,

David
