{"id":1289,"date":"2018-05-15T10:05:34","date_gmt":"2018-05-15T14:05:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/bushl\/?p=1289"},"modified":"2018-05-15T10:05:34","modified_gmt":"2018-05-15T14:05:34","slug":"1289","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/bushl\/2018\/05\/15\/1289\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Parents,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of reminders for camp:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Departure &#8211; Tuesday, May 22nd &#8211; Students should arrive at school at their normal time.<\/li>\n<li>Students should drop off luggage in the cafeteria and then go outside to line up and come into the classrooms when the bell rings. We are scheduled to leave around 9:45. Attendance will be taken in the classroom before we depart.<\/li>\n<li>Bags\/suitcases need to be clearly marked with the child\u2019s first\/last name. Please label all clothing\/personal items as well.\u00a0 <strong><em>All items need to be bagged<\/em><\/strong>, this includes sleeping bags, pillows, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Bring an extra sheet to put over the plastic mattress cover.<\/li>\n<li>Medications must be in the original bottle, labeled with child\u2019s name, dosage and time of day to be administered. Place ALL medications in a Ziploc bag with your child\u2019s name clearly marked.\u00a0 <strong><em>MEDICATIONS MUST BE GIVEN DIRECTLY TO YOUR CHILD\u2019S TEACHER.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 Students may not keep any medications in their suitcases\/bags.\u00a0 A completed health form (SIGNED BY THE DOCTOR) must be turned in for any medications to be administered.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare for the weather! Watch the weather forecast for next week and plan accordingly.\u00a0 Students need to have some kind of raincoat\/parka with a hood.\u00a0 Ponchos are acceptable, but also bring a warm jacket to wear underneath.\u00a0 Students also need a pair of boots along with comfortable walking shoes.\u00a0 Students should bring more than one pair of shoes and plenty of socks!<\/li>\n<li>Snack &amp; bottled water donations can be put in the cafeteria anytime between now and the day we leave. Please purchase small water bottles, so we can limit the \u201cwaste.\u201d\u00a0 We also need individually wrapped snacks for about 64 students (suggestions: granola bars, fruit snacks, chips, cheese\/crackers, rice krispie treats).\u00a0 <strong><em>LABEL ALL ITEMS &#8211; 5th GRADE CAMP<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Return &#8211; Thursday, May 24th &#8211; Parents should be at the school by 11:10 a.m. to pick up students. <strong><em>PARENTS MUST SIGN STUDENTS OUT BEFORE LEAVING<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Teachers will have sign out sheets outside.\u00a0 Students are not supposed to come into the school to make any calls home.<\/li>\n<li>If your child needs to be released to another parent, please send in written permission ahead of time!<\/li>\n<li>If you need to get in contact with your child, call the Lindbergh Main Office @313.827.6300 and they will contact your child\u2019s teacher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fifth grade safeties will not have post duties Tuesday through Thursday, but will resume their original post on Tuesday, May 29th.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Get \u2018em packed&#8230;We\u2019re ready to have some fun!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Parents, &nbsp; Here is a list of reminders for camp: &nbsp; Departure &#8211; Tuesday, May 22nd &#8211; Students should arrive at school at their normal time.
