Spelling: long o patterns (oa, ow, oe) Our words: foam, soap, toast, low, mow, crow, grow, doe, toe, and goes. Bonus words: float, roast and throw. Our question is: Can the crow throw soap and toast as it goes home? Please continue to encourage correct letter formation while practicing your child’s spelling words at home. I’m seeing improvements. Every little bit helps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reading: We’ll remain working with non-fiction. Author’s purpose and comparing\/contrasting two different books, but same topics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Writing: We are completing our persuasive pieces–Tom the Turkey. The children’s home projects were quite impressive. The children typed their stories and once we share them with our classmates, I will then display them in the hallway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Math: Module 3—Continuation with place value—comparisons, 10 more\/less, 100 more\/less, greater than, less than and equal to<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Social studies: Positive and negative consequences and community government <\/p>\n\n\n\n
