The class enjoyed them all!!!! Yum!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hive plans:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spelling:  long o patterns (oa, ow, oe)  Our words:  foam, soap, toast, low, mow, crow, grow, doe, toe, and goes.  Bonus words:  float, roast and throw.  Our question is:  Can the crow throw soap and toast as it goes home?  Please continue to encourage correct letter formation while practicing your child&#8217;s spelling words at home.  I&#8217;m seeing improvements.  Every little bit helps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reading:  We&#8217;ll remain working with non-fiction.  Author&#8217;s purpose and comparing\/contrasting two different books, but same topics.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Writing:  We are completing our persuasive pieces&#8211;Tom the Turkey.  The children&#8217;s  home projects were quite impressive.  The children typed their stories and  once we share them with our classmates, I will then display them in the hallway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Math:  Module 3&#8212;Continuation with place value&#8212;comparisons, 10 more\/less, 100 more\/less, greater than, less than and equal to<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Social studies: Positive and negative consequences and community government <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tidbits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Monday, November 4th:  Final day for Halloween candy donations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Tuesday, November 5th:  No school, Election Day<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Happy Weekend!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fondly, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs. Burke<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Parents!
