Second grade is going by way tooooooo fast.!!!!! We’re just a day away from the first day of May!!!! Is there anyway to put on the brakes? \u00a0We’re going to be busy, busy, BUSY!!!!!!<\/p>\n
Let me start with May events for your planning:<\/p>\n
Tuesday, May 7th: \u00a0Science Challenge Night 5-6<\/p>\n
Wednesday, May 8th: \u00a0Need volunteers to pick up donated fruit for our Veteran Hospital Project<\/p>\n
Thursday, May 9th: \u00a0Volunteers needed for fruit tray wrapping in our classrooms<\/p>\n
Friday a.m<\/strong>., May 10th: \u00a0Volunteers greatly<\/strong> needed to assist with delivery of fruit baskets to Veteran’s Hospital and chaperone at hospital<\/p>\n Friday, May 17th: \u00a0Detroit Science field trip, chaperones needed<\/p>\n Wednesday, May 22nd: \u00a0Spring concert 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n Friday, May 24th and Monday, May 27th: \u00a0No School<\/p>\n Friday, May 31st: \u00a0DuVall Ice Cream Social<\/p>\n Now to our Hive plans:<\/p>\n Spelling: \u00a0More suffixes (ly, ness, ful and able ) Our words are: \u00a0friendly, slowly, likely, lovely, helpful, thankful, careful, kindness, darkness, likable and lovable. \u00a0Bonus words are: \u00a0softness, powerful and cheerful.\u00a0 \u00a0The sentence is: \u00a0A friendly giant walked through the darkness to find his lovable pet.<\/p>\n Reading: \u00a0Continuation with deepening comprehension within our fiction and non-fiction readings.<\/p>\n Math: \u00a0Arrays—a mid module assessment possibly on Thursday.<\/p>\n Writing: Poetry writing and printing some on the computer<\/p>\n Social Studies: \u00a0Economics<\/p>\n A busy hive.<\/p>\n Fondly,<\/p>\n Mrs. Burke<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hello Parents!
