Hello Parents!<\/p>\n
Here we go onto another busy week in Hive 108:<\/p>\n
Spelling: \u00a0long and short i—did, mix, like, bike, hike, rip, ripe, shin, shine, trick— bonus—pipe, stick,stripe—Our question is: \u00a0Did the kind boy let you pick up his bike? \u00a0Please practice not only the spelling of our words, but the sounds the long and short i make. \u00a0This is just as important as the spelling.<\/p>\n
Reading: \u00a0We will be making connections to our texts—-improving comprehension along with monitoring our own reading and making adjustments.<\/p>\n
Writing: \u00a0Personal Narratives—writing our own experience stories in sequence using details.<\/p>\n
Math: \u00a0We have postponed our Module 1 End Assessment to Tuesday. \u00a0Please take this extra time to practice number problems from your child’s review that came home on Friday. \u00a0We went over this in class, but extra support at home is truly a plus. \u00a0We will begin Module 2 on Wednesday—Addition and Subtraction Of Lengths.<\/p>\n
Social Studies: \u00a0Comparing communities—We assembled our social studies folders that we will continually add to.<\/p>\n

*PEACE DAY: \u00a0Tuesday, September 25th—Wear PINK or DuVall wear<\/p>\n
*Popcorn popper still needed for Friday, September 28th<\/p>\n
*Box Tops—-Still collecting—thanks for all that have already been sent in<\/p>\n
*Lunch Survey Forms—Please return these by Monday—–THANK YOU!!!!!<\/p>\n
*Book Orders will be coming home today—-some great choices—-due back on Tuesday, October 2nd<\/p>\n
