It\u2019s hard to believe summer is almost over! I hope you have had a wonderful summer
with your families and friends. Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of
you. My name is Jamie Nowak and I am the new guidance counselor at Bryant Middle
School. I have been with the district for 22 years. My career in Dearborn has taken me
to a few different schools, in a few different positions. In the years before my career,
I earned a Bachelor\u2019s Degree and Master\u2019s Degree from Wayne State University and
my second Master\u2019s Degree from Spring Arbor University, in School Counseling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With Bryant being my new family, I also have my husband Steve and my son Matthew.
This summer we have been fortunate enough to have taken a few family vacations.
Yogi Bear Camp Site, in Fremont, Indiana was our favorite place we visited this
summer. My son and husband have a huge love for golf and I, on the other hand, know
nothing about golf, except how to drive the golf cart for them. In these coming years at
Bryant, I am excited to get to know all of your families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the counselor at Bryant, I want you to know that my door is always open. An open line of
communication is critical in the success of our students. Working to maximize student success
and achievement is the ultimate goal, as we collaborate together; school, family, and students. I
