class=\"entry\">\n<p><strong>Reading<\/strong>: \u00a0Students will learn to describe how characters in a story respond to major events and challenges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math<\/strong>: \u00a0Students will learn to measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Writing<\/strong>: \u00a0Students will work on writing narratives in which they recount a well-elaborated event or short sequence of events, include details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide a sense of closure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Science<\/strong>: Students will continue to learn about structure and properties of matter.\u00a0 We will be sorting, investigating and discussing rocks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Studies-<\/strong>Students will\u00a0understand that communities are places where people live, work and play.\u00a0They will compare the physical and human characteristics of the local community with those of another community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/bridger\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/293\/2017\/11\/Unknown-4.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1371\"
