Students will be<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">able to describe the overall structure of a story, including describing how the beginning introduces the story and the ending concludes the action.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In <strong>writing<\/strong> students will be able to write narratives in which they<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0recount a well<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2010<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">elaborated event or short sequence of events, include details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, use temporal words<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to signal event order, and provide a sense of closure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>math<\/strong>, students will be able to\u00a0r<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ead and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. \u00a0They will be able to count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>science,<\/strong> Students are investigating sand, pebbles and silt.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>social studies<\/strong>, Students are learning about families, communities, and needs and wants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In reading, we are working on testing student levels.
