Congress: Legislative Branch, Senate and House of Representatives<\/p>\n<p>4. Preamble: introduction part of Constitution<\/p>\n<p>5. amendment: a change or addition to the Constitution (27)<\/p>\n<p>6. convention: a meeting<\/p>\n<p>7. majority: more than half<\/p>\n<p>8. prohibition: 21st amendment that made alcohol illegal<\/p>\n<p>9. assemble: to come together as a group<\/p>\n<p>10. express: to show your thoughts and feelings<\/p>\n<p>11. militia: organized group of regular people who serve as soldiers when needed<\/p>\n<p>12. opinion: a belief<\/p>\n<p>13. civil: has to do with people (civilians)<\/p>\n<p>14. convict: to find guilty of a crime<\/p>\n<p>15. due process: right to a fair trial in court<\/p>\n<p>16. evidence: proof used for a crime<\/p>\n<p>17. grand jury: group of people who decide if a person is guilty or not<\/p>\n<p>18. indict (indite): accuse or charge a person for crime<\/p>\n<p>19. witness: someone who has seen or heard something<\/p>\n<p>20. candidate: person who hopes to be elected<\/p>\n<p>21. debate: argument discussion<\/p>\n<p>22. sue: bring legal action against a person<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gov Ch. 3 Vocab &#8212; This is the entire chapter, so take them slow and practice as there are some difficult ones. 1. ambassador: someone a president chooses to represent the country 2. article: one of the parts of the Constitution 3.
