Our last day of school before the break was a blast. The students made crafty snowmen in the morning , which they ate in the afternoon along with hot cocoa. They also had a great time exchanging books and trading what they made for the craft projects. Of course, our day wouldn’t have been completed without pizza😉

I want to thank the parents and the students for the wonderful presents that I received. I’m truly blessed to have a great group of parents. Thank you❤

Please make sure your child reads every day. Most of the students are supposed to finish a few pages of their reading packet over the break. They also can get on frontrowed, splashmath, and ck12.org to do math practice. More importantly, please allow them time to NWEA practice using the link on the Dearborn Public Schools website or my blog.

Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  Continue reading

Fall Festival Parade AND Monday Plans!

We’re having our parade at 2:00 on Monday. Students are allowed to change into their costumes in the afternoon. I understand we have Gym that day, so please make sure your child has gym shoes on or to switch into. Also, we’re ordering pizza to finish off our day and celebrate our classroom community. If you’d like to donate a $1 or $2 towards the pizza, that would be greatly appreciated.
