I have been planning to get ready for a great September in school. Here is what will be happening.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ELA- begin Daily 5 with the students, this includes how to read a book, what is a good fit book, and how to read to self. Students will get a book box with their own books to use.<\/li>\n<li>Writing- begin how to write a personal narrative, this includes how to draw a boy and girl, a house, and day and night settings to be able to tell a story. These will be I stories about something the student did.<\/li>\n<li>Math- begin with orally counting from 1-10, counting objects, writing numerals 1-10 and using 5 and 10 frames to build a number sense.<\/li>\n<li>Science- begin with What is a Scientist and what are their tools. Also begin an investigation using our 5 senses of the world around us.<\/li>\n<li>Social Studies- begin with How to get Along with Others in the classroom, including rules and procedures and anti-bullying strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Apple Unit- How do apples grow? Tasting apples and making applesauce.<\/li>\n<li>All About Me- we will learn about each other through some fun activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, we finished a great first week in Kindergarten!
