Many Haiku poems describe a scene from nature, such as the fall season, the blossoms of spring, or a frog jumping into a pond, putting the reader in a certain mood, such as a peaceful mood or a thoughtful mood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(<strong><em>Haiku poems do not have to rhyme.<\/em><\/strong>)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"background-color:#009900;color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-text-color has-background\">A Haiku poem is a very short poem made of only three lines, with a special pattern of syllables. <em><strong>MOST<\/strong><\/em> Haikus have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#009900\">&gt; 5 syllables in the 1st line<br>&gt; 7 syllables in the 2nd line<br>&gt; 5 syllables in the 3rd line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>EXAMPLES:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#009999\" class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-center\"><em>An old silent pond<br>A frog jumps in the water<br>Splash!
