September 12<\/span>th<\/span> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Open House <\/p>\n Expectations for Students<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Homework<\/b><\/p>\n Homework is practice. \u00a0I will be giving you feedback on what you need to improve for your assignments. \u00a0I will keep track of whether you have turned in assignments, but you may not be receiving a grade for each of them. \u00a0You will also have assignments on Ilearn at times – you are expected to complete these in a timely fashion.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tests<\/b><\/p>\n Tests will be standards based and you will receive a grade from 1 – 4 for each objective. \u00a0Their meaning is:<\/span><\/p>\n Your goal is to have all 3\u2019s and 4\u2019s on every objective. \u00a0If you have all 3\u2019s and 4\u2019s, the lowest grade you will receive is a B-. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Absences<\/b><\/p>\n Students are only allowed ten absences by district policy. If you exceed 10, you will be placed on audit and must receive a 78% or higher on the semester exam. \u00a0If you are absent, please do the following.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Materials Needed<\/b><\/p>\n You will need a graph ruled composition book, folder or binder, and pencils. \u00a0You may find it helpful to download the following apps: \u00a0Hudl Technique (it is theoretically for sports, but we will be using it for physics). \u00a0WabbitEmu (this is a free app available only on Android platform that is the TI-84 graphing calculator).<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Communication<\/b><\/p>\n

\n 4<\/b><\/td>\n Advanced. \u00a0You clearly understand the material given and could teach someone else. \u00a0Very minor mistakes made, none are conceptual, only arithmetic.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n 3<\/b><\/td>\n Proficient. \u00a0You understand the material but are making some minor conceptual mistakes. <\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n 2<\/b><\/td>\n Partially Proficient. \u00a0You have the basic grasp of the concept being studied, but there are some major conceptual misunderstandings.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n 1<\/b><\/td>\n Not Proficient. \u00a0You have little understanding of the concept being taught and need to seek additional help.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n \n
