2017 – 2018 Parent conferences Information<\/p>\n
Conferences in Mr. Bates’ class will be a little different this year.\u00a0 Conferences will be student led conferences.<\/p>\n
Our goal for students at Unis is success. \u00a0We know that may look different for each student. \u00a0We also know that when students take responsibility for their own learning, each student is more successful. \u00a0Student conferences are an opportunity for students to show their parents or other significant adult what they are doing in class and how they are taking charge of their own learning.<\/span><\/p>\n The way it works is when students and their parents check in they will pick up a script that will direct them to a series of stations that will guide students and their parents in a discussion. \u00a0Students will explain various components of their science learning activities to their parents. \u00a0Parents are encouraged to ask their child questions about how learning takes place, how students know if they are successful and what their child does when they are struggling.<\/span><\/p>\n See you at conferences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" 2017 – 2018 Parent conferences Information Conferences in Mr. Bates’ class will be a little different this year.\u00a0 Conferences will be student led conferences.
