This is the only chance you will have to pick up a book. If you have an issue, please contact Mrs. Hickson or Ms. Tiba as soon as possible.

Dear Parents,

This week we will be offering a pick-up of some instructional material your child’s teacher has prepared. The prepared material will vary from class to class and your child’s teacher will let you know what you will need to pick up, if anything. To avoid large crowds and provide an opportunity for families with multiple children, the pick up will happen based on the first letter of your last name.

On Tuesday, May 5 from 1-3 pm, the pick-up will be for families whose last name starts with the letter A-M. And on Wednesday, May 6 from 1-3 pm, will be for families whose last name starts with N-Z. The materials will be set up on the South playground (where K-2 lineup).

The material will be placed on carts by grade level and teacher name. We ask that parents come alone with a mask, stand in line until they are asked to come forward and collect their children’s materials from the carts. We kindly request that you just grab the top book and do not shuffle through them and as always practice safe distancing. There will be cones and tape on the floor to also help guide the flow.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Stay safe,

Ms. Tiba

Students, if you are turning in an assignment on Google classroom that was assigned 4/27 – 5/1 please email me that you have turned it in. I know you do not have your books yet. I am hoping the will be available at school Tuesday or Wednesday for someone to go and pick up for you. (More information a.s.a.p.) These pages are preferred to print or to go get with this unit for the gird paper needed, or it will be very difficult to complete. You can print right from the lesson until you get the book if you can. Under the lesson it says student materials. Click there and you can print the problem set. If yo no not have a printer, try it on paper looking at the problem set until you go get your module 6 journal. You can do the homework because you have that book.

Science

Today, continue to watch Mystery 3 and start the experiment. The pages for the activity are on the Google Classroom assignment labeled Mystery 3. You will need to print them out. If you don’t have a printer, watch the video and look through the pages. Students will fill 2 gallon sized Ziploc bags each with a piece of fruit, orange and banana are suggested but any will do, a piece of cheese and a piece of bread on a paper plate, changing 1 environmental condition in the second bag to study how different variables affect mold growth. You will want duct tape or other tape for an extra seal on the bag. Today, start the activity.
