This year has been absolutely amazing! I am so happy that I got to learn and spend time with each and every one of you! Thank you so much for all of your kindness and support.  And thank you for all of the beautiful gifts, I am so grateful!

Kindergarten Picnic Tomorrow

Hello families!

Tomorrow is our kindergarten picnic and we will start at 12:45pm. The students have prepared a couple of songs and are just so excited to perform them for you! Since we will be sitting outside, please remember to bring any chairs or blankets that you would like to sit on from home.

Zoo Shirts

Our t-shirts for the zoo have arrived! We will have the students change into their shirts at school in the morning. Parents and family members who ordered one I will give you your shirts during morning lineup so that you can change into them as well 🙂

May 25th-28th: NO SCHOOL, Memorial Day holiday weekend

May 29th: Field Trip to the Detroit Zoo

June 6th: Snow School Field Day from 9am to 3pm, sign up using the link below

June 12th: Kindergarten “Moving Up Presentation” & Picnic 12:45-2:30. All family members are welcome! Here is the sign up link for items to bring

ABC Countdown

The Kindergartners will celebrate a great year of learning by counting down the last 26 days of the school year with 26 special activities!

Starting next Tuesday we will start counting down to the last day of school.  Each day the students will do a special activity, have a special snack or dress in special attire.  There will be a note going home today explaining this in detail.  There are a few days that we will need some donations.  Please sign up if you can and send the item in on the date.  Please do not send it before that date.  Our class appreciates any and all donations to our classroom!!

Please read through the activities and their descriptions as some days have your child wearing certain clothing and/or bringing items to class.  Participation is not required but we hope that everyone will join in this celebration in some way over the next couple of weeks.

May 8 Animal Day Bring a small stuffed animal to class.
May 9 Beach Day Bring your flip-flops, sunglasses and beach towel.  Please remember that you need proper shoes to change into for gym and recess.)

May 11 Dance Day We will be doing different types of dances in class today.
May 14 Extra Recess Day We will have one extra recess today.

Wear Support our troop and dress in RED,WHITE, and BLUE we will write a letter to a soldier


May 16 Green Day Wear green to school today!
May 17 Hat Day Wear your favorite hat all day long.
May 18 Ice Cream Day We’ll enjoy an ice cream treat!
May 21 Joke Day Write down your favorite joke and share it in class today!
May 22 Krispy Kreme Day We’ll devour a delicious donut!
May 23 Lollipop Day We’ll lick some lollipops today.
May 24 Mismatch Day All students wear mismatched clothes.
May 29 Nature Day We will take a walk around the zoo and write about what things we seen or heard in nature.
May 30 Off With Your Shoes Take off your shoes the last hour of the day!  (Wear Silly Socks)
May 31 Popsicle Day All students will enjoy as popsicle
June 1 Quiz Your Teacher Day Bring a really difficult question for your teacher and try to stump her…..make sure to bring the answer just in case!
June 4 Rainbow Day Wear as many colors as you can today!
June 5 Sidewalk Art Day We will draw pictures outside our school building with sidewalk chalk.  
June 6 Tie-dye Day Wear anything you have that’s tie-dyed.
June 7 Uniform Day Wear a ‘uniform’ to school. This could include a career or a sports team,your soccer, baseball, ballet, dance, etc. uniform.
June 8 Video Day We’ll watch a video.
June 11 Wacky, Wild Hair Day Who will have the wildest hair-do today?!

Gather the signatures of your friends and teachers.
June 13 Year End Clean-up We’ll clean out our desks and the room.  Be sure to bring an extra bag from home for your stuff.

All School Picnic

On June 8th the PTA will have an all school picnic from 5:00 pm -8:00 pm. Each grade level has been asked to purchase items to go into a silent raffle at the picnic. The theme for the Kindergarten basket is Water Games. If you would like to donate any items to the basket please make sure to do so by Friday, June 1st.

Example of items include:

  • water balloons
  • water launchers
  • pool noodles
  • beach towels
  • pool toys
  • inflatables

We are going to the Zoo + Making t-shirts!!!

I will be sending home permission slips for our trip to the Detroit Zoo today. We will be going on Tuesday, May 29th. The bus will leave at 9 am and we hope to be back at Snow School by 2 pm. The cost of the trip is $9. Please pack lunches in a disposable bag. Chaperones will have to drive separately to the zoo. Please make sure to arrive on time in order to avoid paying another admission ticket. We can’t refund any money after May 14th since we are paying in advance.

Attached to the field trip slip is a yellow note explaining our class t-shirts! We would like to have ALL students purchase a shirt if possible so that we can wear them to the zoo together!

Please return the order form and the zoo permission slip no later than May 14th.

Earth Day!

Hello families!

The entire school will be participating in a belated EARTH DAY All School Grounds Clean Up.  This will take place on Monday, April 30, from 2:30-3:15. Parents, if you have any gardening gloves please send them with your child to school. All of our students and the teachers will participate in this activity.  Our goal is to  clean up our school grounds for a safer and more inviting environment.
