Reading is everyday , also.&nbsp; Thank-you to parents that ask their child\nquestions about the story that they are reading and have their child read to\nthem (more or less depending on the kind of book that they are reading).&nbsp; Happy Michigan Living!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Free Opportunity!- Mrs.\nBadwi in room 123 is hosting a Monday morning 7:45 a.m. \u2013 8:20 a.m. Book Club\nfor 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Graders that will begin on Monday, March 2 for the next 5\nweeks.&nbsp; There is a permission slip sent\nhome today.&nbsp; Please consider sending your\nchild, if it is possible.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Math help- <\/strong><strong>Try this Eureka math help and games to make your child a top math\nstudent- <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/35QeXMc\"><strong>https:\/\/bit.ly\/35QeXMc<\/strong><\/a><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It is also on my BLOG.&nbsp;&nbsp; We will have an addition and subtraction\ntest when we return.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SCIENCE \u2013 <\/strong><strong>We continue to learn about bodies of water and landforms\n(earth science) in our unit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SPELLING WORDS FOR NEXT WEEK ARE Plurals.&nbsp; &nbsp;Please continue to point out the\npattern of the spelling words each week and help your child discover words with\nthese patterns in their reading.&nbsp; Soon, your\nchild will be pointing these out to you, if they do not already.&nbsp; A good idea is to get a blank notebook and\nkeep a list.&nbsp; Send them in for extra\ncredit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\ncontractions to study are: benches, books, cherries, classes, crutches, drinks,\nfamilies, foxes, glasses, homes, nails, noses, parties, puppies, stamps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Social Studies<\/strong>&#8211; We have started our new unit, How Do\nCitizens Live Together in a Community?&nbsp;\nIt covers diversity and also government.&nbsp;\nAsk your child if they know what government is.&nbsp; We are also discussing what is good for the\nindividual and what is good for all ( individual rights and the common good).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the question \u201cWhy do we form governments?\u201d is being\nexplored.&nbsp;
