{"id":744,"date":"2019-10-24T11:07:41","date_gmt":"2019-10-24T15:07:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ballnic\/?p=744"},"modified":"2019-10-24T11:08:44","modified_gmt":"2019-10-24T15:08:44","slug":"friday-october-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ballnic\/2019\/10\/24\/friday-october-26\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday, October 26"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Friday, October 26, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mrs. Ballnik\u2019s Classroom News\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 My email is <a href=\"mailto:ballnic@dearbornschools.org\">ballnic@dearbornschools.org<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; 1\/2 day on November 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social Studies Night\nwas Wednesday, October 23 from 5:00 \u2013 6:30 p.m.. &nbsp;&nbsp;Thank-you to the students that were able to\ncome.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fall Festival Party-\nOctober 31- There will be a parade and students can dress up for it, if they\nwant to.&nbsp; I get about half the class\ndressed and half choosing not to.&nbsp; Please\ncome whether you want to dress p or not.&nbsp;\nWe will be learning things on this day.&nbsp;\nPlease send in candy, because P.T.A. members are asked to give it out to\nall the children in the school during the parade.&nbsp; Students do not have to dress up for\nthis.&nbsp; They have not told me the parade\ntime, yet.&nbsp; There will be a pumpkin patch\nevent in the morning and this information will come when they tell me also.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; I hope that everyone is able to come to this\nfun day, because it bonds our class by having fun learning with each other.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SCIENCE- We continue to study\nMatter right now.&nbsp; We use adjectives or\nProperties to describe matter.&nbsp; Matter is\neverything.&nbsp; A desk, water, air etc\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Book Bags \u2013 <\/strong><strong>The books are being inventoried in the book room for the school.&nbsp; We may not have books in book bags for a while,\nunless I get another source.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PLANNERS<\/strong>&#8211;\nPlease send these every day because we use them. The spelling words will be\nwritten in them, also. There is a charge, if a planner is lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SPELLING WORDS FOR NEXT WEEK ARE Consonant Blends, but\ndifferent words.&nbsp; Please continue to point out the pattern of the\nspelling words each week and help your child discover words with these patterns\nin their reading.&nbsp; Soon, your child will\nbe pointing these out to you, if they do not already.&nbsp; A good idea is to get a blank notebook and\nkeep a list.&nbsp; Send them in for extra\ncredit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The words will be: clock, drum, sled, tent, mask, nest,\nsplash, string, stripe, swim, scrub, step, rest, jump, hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social Studies<\/strong>&#8211;\nOur next unit will be \u201cWhere is my community and what is it like?\u201d&nbsp; This will include the study of maps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Happy Birthday to Jenna Elassaad on October 24!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Happy Birthday to Julia Elallie on October 25!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Happy Birthday to Ali Mourad on October 25!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations to Layalee Ali who was Student of the Month\nof October!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations to Wafa Almuraisi who is Student of the\nMonth of November!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations to all the Star Students so far:&nbsp; Jenna, Daher and Reham!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Friday, October 26, 2019 Mrs. Ballnik\u2019s Classroom News\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 My email is ballnic@dearbornschools.org &#8211; 1\/2 day on November 1.
