Send\nnotes or call the office and I will get back to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n SCIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Thank-you to\neveryone that has sent in the Mystery Bags. \nPlease send them in, if you have not. \nIt is important to be able to describe things (matter) with properties (describing\nwords). Ask your child to describe\nsomething that you pick up and see how well they speak about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Post-its are another\nneed of the class. Please send some in, if you are able to. Thank-you to those that sent some in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n PLANNERS<\/strong>–\nPlease send these every day because we use them. The spelling words will be\nwritten in them, also. There is a charge, if a planner is lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n SPELLING WORDS FOR NEXT WEEK ARE Different words with LONG\nVOWELS THAT END IN E.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The words will be; bake, case, face, fuse, hide, home, kite,\nlime, mule, note, page, rose, size, time, tune. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n Social Studies<\/strong>–\nPlease continue to point out things that you see as you walk\/ride through our\nCOMMUNITY of Dearborn. We are studying\nabout community. There are natural\ncharacteristics (tree, river, grass) and human characteristics (bridge, road,\nstore) of our community to be seen. \nPlease discuss these as you see them at home. Can your child name the 5 characteristics of\na community? Transportation, Buildings, Natural Characteristics, Places to have\nFun and Businesses. What does each of\nthese categories mean to your child? <\/p>\n\n\n\n Reading Bags<\/strong>\nare still needed. I do not have enough\nto lend everyone that has not sent in one. \nThey may end up with a big zip lock bag. \nThank-you, if you sent a book bag in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Math- The first test will come home by parent request. Please ask if you want to see the Module\n(unit) 1 math test. I have only had one\nrequest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please get a centimeter\/inch ruler, if your child does not\nhave one. They should measure a lot at\nhome with it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Thank-you if you signed up for Class Dojo<\/strong>. It is a\nvery nice message system.
