Our classes meet every day for 55 minutes. <br>The art experiences, knowledge and skills will be integrated with <br>academic subjects.\u00a0<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><br><br><em>Academic Art grades are based on:\u00a0<\/em><br><br>Work Effort \u2026\u2026..follows directions, involvement, engagement<br>Craftsmanship\u2026\u2026..neatness, skill applications, care of tools and materials\u00a0Participation\u2026.. following procedures, rules, activities and collaboration<br>Creativity\u2026\u2026\u2026using the imagination and critical thinking when creating<br><br>I will encourage collaborative and integrated learning through the arts.\u00a0<br>The arts enhance cognitive skills and promote learning skills. If you have any \u201cfun\u201d items the students would enjoy creating into masterpieces we would appreciate your donations such as:<br><br>Colored pencils, markers, magazines, oil pastels, chalk pastels, glue, <br>paints, or anything art related!<br><br>I\u2019m am extremely excited to see all your familiar faces and to welcome <br>the upcoming 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0grade class!
