First grade artists have been learning a song in music class from Japan about kites and they created their own kite in art class!<\/p>\n

We started by looking at different kites throughout history. Kites come in all different shapes and sizes and some have different functions or purposes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"student<\/a><\/p>\n

Each artist created a sketch for their very own kite; some artists were inspired by some of the kites we had looked at and others created a new design they had never seen before.<\/p>\n

They used paper, dowels, string, fabric, and markers to create their kites.<\/p>\n
