First graders refreshed their knowledge of the primary colors, horizontal, and vertical lines by creating a “Mini-Mondrian” during one art class.<\/p>\n

The next art class, we mixed the primary colors of paint (red, yellow, and blue) to create the secondary colors (green, orange, and violet).<\/p>\n

When the papers were dry, we cut out a green ground and orange pumpkins to glue onto a purple night sky. Details were added in oil pastel.<\/p>\n
