Third grade artists created these weaving designs on burlap fabric!<\/p>\n

They began by looking at Native American artwork, and focused on Native American weavings for inspiration.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Using a scrap piece of burlap, artists were able to take out some of the weft strings to weave in yarn, cardboard pieces, beads, and pipe cleaners!<\/p>\n

Each artist was able to come up with creative ways to weave in their materials! Some made a zig-zag design, some braided their strings before weaving them in, some made shapes and handles, and some invented new ways to add fringe.<\/p>\n
