<\/a><\/p>\nArtists all started by drawing a horizon line (where the ground meets the sky). \u00a0Then they added a small dot on this line called the “vanishing point”. \u00a0This is the point that everything appears to “vanish” because it is so far away, our eyes can no longer see it.<\/p>\n
Each artist added something going down the middle of their paper (a road, a river, a train track, etc.) that vanishes at the vanishing point.<\/p>\n Then they added objects on each side of the road and used our newly learned one point perspective tricks to make them appear as though they are getting farther away from the viewer.<\/p>\n Fourth grade artists have been learning about perspective in art class. \u00a0We learned techniques to make objects appear as though\u00a0they are far away from us while others are close up.
