Smith Middle School)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Welcome back! I hope you had a restful break. I am very excited to jump into our novel unit. I sent out an email with the book titles that the my seventh and eighth graders will be reading. Moving forward, things will look a little different, but I truly think students will enjoy this novel adventure. Students will have Monday-Sunday to work on the week&#8217;s assignment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our class structure will be very consistent over the next six weeks.&nbsp; I will provide a daily schedule for you to work on OR you can create your own schedule.&nbsp; Your schedule is your choice and what works best for you and your family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is my recommended daily schedule:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7th Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday: Mini Lesson- Watch the lesson about setting &amp; Read chapter 1 of &#8220;Dead in Norvelt.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday: Read Chapters 2-3 of &#8220;Dead in Norvelt.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wednesday: Read Chapter 4 of &#8220;Dead in Norvelt.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thursday: Complete Journal prompt about setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friday: Complete chapters 1-4 Quiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8th Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday: <em>Mini Lesson<\/em>&#8211; Watch the lesson about setting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday: <em>Reading<\/em>: Read Chapter 1 of \u201cThe Outsiders.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wednesday: <em>Reading<\/em>: Read Chapter 2 of \u201cThe Outsiders.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thursday: <em>Assignment<\/em>: Comprehension: \u201cThe Outsiders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friday: <em>Wrap-Up Assignment<\/em>: \u201cThe Outsiders\u201d- Setting\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back!
