A message from Ms. Zaarour…
Henry Ford School Social Work Support
Hope this email finds you well. If you don’t mind linking this to your blog, or sending via dojo or whatever form of communication you are using with your families I would greatly appreciate it. This will help me connect with the 1st and 4th grade families at Henry Ford and provide support during this time. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Stay safe!–

Good Energy at Home!
Use this at home for “brain breaks” to get moving! After working so hard, we need some fun in our routine!
Although we will be missing our field trips this year, you can attend some virtually! Please write about what you learned!
Please click on the links for important lessons and resources. Google Classroom and ClassDojo will be needed to refer to for posts and more information. I look forward to working together to ensure our students are successful while at home.
Student usernames and logins were sent home last week for log in to: https://www.education.com/games/play/#choosePlayer. In addition to Zearn (math), this will help strengthen their math, language and typing skills. This week, I will be sending home their “Student Goal Setting” sheets for NWEA math, reading, and language. I will also be writing their DRA (reading level) score in their planners. Please make sure to initial their planners and check their spelling scores. Have a wonderful week!
The students will be tested between September 3 and September 30. NWEA student progress reports and DRA reading levels will be sent home the first week of October. Please make sure they are getting to bed early enough and well-rested. Breakfast is served at school from 8:00-8:30 a.m. If they are late, they can get a snack in a bag and eat it in class. Class learning starts promptly at 8:35 a.m.
Your child will be taking the Reading and Math sections of the NWEA this week. They will be taking it on Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure they go to bed at a good time and also that they have a good, nutritional breakfast.
