Students focused on close reading and analyzing diction, syntax, style and tone. We analyzed the idea of \u00a0&#8220;Struggle and success&#8221; as a theme and how the text employs specific patterns, words, or phrases to depict both. Students cited textual evidence to complement their analysis of the literature.
