{"id":821,"date":"2017-03-10T15:17:14","date_gmt":"2017-03-10T20:17:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/alberta\/?p=821"},"modified":"2017-03-10T15:17:14","modified_gmt":"2017-03-10T20:17:14","slug":"camp-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/alberta\/2017\/03\/10\/camp-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>5th Grade Camp<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">March 8, 2017<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dear Howard 5th Grade Parents,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you know, 5th grade camp is just around the corner, and we are all very excited about this terrific opportunity for our students! \u00a0The camp experience will be filled with hands-on learning experiences that will create memories that will last a lifetime. \u00a0We value this learning opportunity, and will do everything that we can to make camp the best experience possible for our students!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those of you who attended the camp meeting last week were able to meet with the camp staff who provided us with a wonderful presentation giving us detailed information about the camp facilities, activities, and safety procedures. \u00a0If you have any specific questions about camp, please contact your child\u2019s classroom teacher for more information. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One thing that we learned from the camp staff is their very high level of emphasis on safety while facilitating a positive and fun learning experience for the students. \u00a0A discussion about safety expectations and procedures is part of the camp orientation process, and you as the parent\/guardian should have a discussion about safety as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>PBIS and Camp<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Camp is designed to provide engaging and fun learning experiences within parameters that ensure our students are safe at all times.
