Thank you to those students who re-submitted their “friendly letter” after revising and editing. Some of you have yet to complete it (or anything!!) Get to work! I will be looking them through again – you might get yours back. If that happens, please revise and edit it.

Help Parents

Reading 30 minutes (see links at the bottom of this post for some places to find new books)

Math: Module 6 Lesson 8 video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgBtJcBVsvE, Learn and Succeed problems from lesson 8, Zearn lesson 8. You should see these lessons as a connection to what we’ve discussed in class regarding patterns/rules/functions. These are important lessons which connect to your middle school math with Pre-Algebra and graphing linear and non-linear functions. Very important learning!

Writing: revise and edit your friendly letter to me. It’s not about getting it completed, it’s about the learning to do it PROPERLY!

Social Studies: We will return a little to the “House of Burgesses” later this week, but for now please watch this video on “The French and Indian War” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHKVwezBmYY. Take basic notes for yourself about who was fighting who (it wasn’t the French vs. the Native Americans!), why were they fighting, what was the outcome, where did it take place, etc. Another worksheet on this to follow this week.

Science: How did you like the video yesterday? It was a nice way to see the overview on things being connected. As we get more detailed into the Spheres, we will see ALL cycles are connected.

Reading: Free online reading sites (1) FunBrain https://www.funbrain.com/books, (2) Scribd https://www.scribd.com/readfree?utm_source=readfree, (3) Junior Library Guild at Home https://www.juniorlibraryguild.com/at-home.
