Bring in those Box Tops!<\/p>\n
Thursday–Open House 6:00-7:30<\/p>\n
Friday–Half day–students dismiss at 11:45<\/p>\n
Please remember to check your child’s planner daily, after checking over the homework with him\/her.<\/p>\n
Spelling–Our focus this week is long a.\u00a0 We also have content words and our word of the week.\u00a0 These words take a little extra focus and students also need to know the definition of the word of the week.\u00a0 This will increase their vocabulary, which will assist with reading and writing.<\/p>\n
Math–The students are getting used to the new math program and they are already showing improvements.\u00a0 We are working on recognizing that a digit represents 10 times the value of what it represents in the place to its right.\u00a0 Students are utilizing the place value chart to model this.<\/p>\n
Daily 5\/CAFE–We will begin the folktale genre with our books as soon as NWEA is complete!<\/p>\n
Writer’s Workshop–Students will be finishing up with their two paragraph descriptive essay.<\/p>\n
