SULLIVAN FOR THE POPSICLES AND TO MRS. SAYLOR FOR THE COOLER OF WATER!! \u00a0Both really helped!<\/p>\n<p>Reminders: \u00a0Math test will be on Thursday. \u00a0I postponed because we will be reviewing the next couple days. \u00a0Study guide will be coming home tonight.<\/p>\n<p>This week we are learning:<\/p>\n<p>Spelling&#8212;Be sure to study words each night. \u00a0The extra content words and word of the week are a little more tricky, so practice should be done each night. \u00a0Students also need to know the meaning of the word of the week. \u00a0Our focus is also long e words and their spelling patterns ee, ea, ie.<\/p>\n<p>Daily5\/CAFE&#8211;Students will be working on their literature circle books and will be assigned roles for each part. \u00a0We will be working on different strategies in our books at individual levels.<\/p>\n<p>Writer&#8217;s Workshop&#8211;We are working on our mystery stories. \u00a0We have created a plan about a time we lost something or something was missing. \u00a0Students are allowed to use real or imagined scenarios. \u00a0We completed a plan and will work on drafts this week.<\/p>\n<p>Math&#8211;Unit 1 Test on Thursday. \u00a0Study guide will come home today.<\/p>\n<p>Social Studies&#8211;We finished our large posters of the physical characteristics of the U.S. \u00a0We will move on to human characteristics this week by connecting to the physical. \u00a0We will also research a human characteristic of the U.S. and then write informational pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great week!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sorry for the late post! \u00a0It must be the heat!
