Welcome to AVID.  My name is  Eman Ahmed and I am very excited to teach the 7th and 8th grade AVID elective this year at Salina Intermediate!

I am proud to be a former Salina Wildcat!!  I also attended Stout Middle School and Edsel Ford High.   I earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from University of Michigan.  I also have a Masters degree in Education with a Bilingual/ESL Endorsement from U of M.  Go Blue! I am currently working on my Ed. Specialist through Oakland University. 

This is my 14th year as a classroom teacher. I have previously taught 1st, 4th, and 5th grade.  I am currently the athletic director at Salina and have coached girls  volleyball and track. 

When I am not teaching or in school, I enjoy running, reading, cooking,  and spending time with my family!

There is no job more rewarding than teaching.   Each day is different, and children are a constant source of amazement.  They are fun to work with, and watching them learn and grow is extremely gratifying.  Every day is an adventure!
