Peek at the Week

  • We had a couple of stories this week. We started off with Ramadan Moon by Na’ima Robert to learn about Ramadan. Blessings to all who celebrate. We then moved to The Wind Blew by Pat Hutchins. This led to playing with wind. I set up a box fan to operate with a button so the children could turn on and off. There were many surprised faces and giggles. We then tested various items to see if the wind could blow it. They had the best time controlling that fan. We ended the week Pete the Cat and the Great Leprechaun Chase by James Dean. Such a fun story for St. Patrick’s day. Click on the button below to enjoy the story at home with your child. Reading the same stories at home helps the students make a home/school connection and allows them the chance to let you know what they have been reading all week at school
  • We are over 1/2 through Charolette’s Web by E.B. White. I adapted a book for us to enjoy this month all about Wilber the famous pig. Click on the button below and check it out.
