Newsletter for Week of January 15th

Peek at the Week

  • The Unique Learning System topic for January is My Body. We are using the story, Head to Toe by Eric Carle to explore all the movements our body can do.
  • Our story this week is Sneezy the Snowman by Maureen Write. This colorful story tells a tale of a snowman who is to cold and what happens when he tries to warm up! Click on the button below to enjoy the story at home with your child. Reading the same stories at home helps the students make a home/school connection and allows them the chance to let you know what they have been reading all week at school
  • We practice counting how many letters are in our names and then made snowmen with the letters.
  • For sciene this week we explored the difference between hot and cold. We felt the difference between cold and warm items. We also did an experiement with Pop Rock and how they react differently in hot and cold water.
  • Our letter this week was the letter N. The students made variety of projects to represent the letter N.
  • For math this month, we are practicing fractions
