\/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/funbrain.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/Funbrain.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Find math games by topic or by grade at FunBrain.\u00a0 Students will enjoy playing a variety of math games that reinforce concepts and engage young learners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math Blaster<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mathblaster.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/Mathblaster.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The message to Math Blaster\u2019s is clear:\u00a0 \u201cYour success depends on your ability to use your brain and logic skills.\u201d\u00a0 With a space\/alien theme, Math Blaster\u2019s lets your students become intergalactic heros based on their math operation and critical thinking skills.\u00a0 Registration is required, but the game \u201cmath game\u201d site than some of the others on the list, Learn Zillion provides a strong, comprehensive approach to online math education.\u00a0 Take time to explore the free resources available to teachers and parents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hooda Math<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/hoodamath.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/HoodaMath.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Logic and reasoning, math fact practice, and more make up the free educational games at Hooda Math.\u00a0 There are quite a few games that call for higher order thinking and ask students to problem solve to complete the activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Manga High<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mangahigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/mangahigh.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mange High offers free and subscription packages to classroom and homeschool teachers.\u00a0 The free site allows students to play basic games to reinforce math skills and compete against the computer or others.\u00a0 The subscription version gives teachers the opportunity to track students\u2019 progress and see where there are gaps in their basic skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math Game Time<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mathgametime.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/MathGameTime.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Designed for students from Pre-K through 7th Grade, Math Game Time offers fun, educational games.\u00a0 From games like Integer War, Ratio Martian, and Jet Ski Addition, students quickly engage with games that are on-target for their grade and the Common Core Standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math Playground<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mathplayground.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/MathPlayground.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlay with Numbers and Give Your Brain a Workout\u201d is the motto of Math Playground.\u00a0 Assign students games to play related to logic, number skills practice, geometry, algebra, probability, fractions and more.\u00a0 There are also math word problems and video instruction to help students remember how to solve them.\u00a0 Does your school use Singapore Math?<br \/>\nMath Playground has a section dedicated just to it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CryptoKids\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsa.gov\/kids\/home.shtml\" target=\"_blank\"><b>https:\/\/www.nsa.gov\/kids\/home.shtml<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>America\u2019s CryptoKids website is sponsored by the NSA and focuses on codemaking and sodebreaking.\u00a0 Students can learn more about cryptology and create and break common codes.\u00a0 There are student resources, high school programs, and even college programs that can be explored.\u00a0 While the site may not focus on basic math skills, cryptology requires critical thinking that essential to student success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BBC KS2 Bitesize<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/schools\/ks2bitesize\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/schools\/ks2bitesize\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Math practice with a bit of British humor is what Bitesize is all about.\u00a0 Based off of Britain\u2019s standards, the site still<br \/>\noffers ample practice with decimals, factors and multiples,<br \/>\naddition and subtraction, and more.\u00a0 The games are<br \/>\namusing, but the skill practice is substantial.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cool Math Games<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coolmath-games.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.coolmath-games.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Coolmath-Games has exactly what the name implies \u2013 fun and unique math learning opportunities for students.\u00a0 One of the most interesting features is an online jigsaw puzzle section that features a variety of photos turned into puzzles.\u00a0 This is especially helpful for developing spatial relations in young learners.\u00a0 They have an extensive preview and review of Precalculus and Calculus in addition to their elementary and middle school games and reviews.<br \/>\nIt is a comprehensive site worth read by famous performers.\u00a0 There are activity guides with hands-on ideas, discussion questions, and lesson plans that can easily be adapted to the Common Core State Standards.\u00a0 Entirely free, the site is colorful and engaging.<\/p>\n<p><b>We Give Books<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wegivebooks.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/wegivebooks.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A Pearson Foundation Initiative, We Give Books offers students a unique opportunity to read for social good.\u00a0 Each book that is read results in a book that is donated to a charity for children.\u00a0 While the books are not read aloud, they allow students to practice \u201cRead to Self\u201d with a good fit book during center time.\u00a0 There are books for children in preschool through fourth grade.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Starfall<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/starfall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/starfall.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While some areas of Starfall are part of their premium service, they have many early reader stories available for free.\u00a0 Students can follow along as the story is read to them and can, in some instances, help create their own story.\u00a0 The website is highly engaging and a favorite of young readers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Online Storytime by Barnes and Noble<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\/u\/online-storytime-books-toys\/379003588\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\/u\/online-storytime-books-toys\/379003588\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From <i>The Kissing Hand<\/i> read by author Audrey Wood to<i>Pinkalicious<\/i> read by Victoria Kann, Barnes and Noble\u2019s Online Storytime has popular children\u2019s books read out loud.\u00a0 While there are no supplemental materials to accompany the stories, this free site is perfect for \u201cListen to Reading\u201d stations.<\/p>\n<p><i>Note:<\/i>\u00a0 The first story begins right away when the page opens so be sure that your volume is adjusted accordingly before clicking the link.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>TumbleBooks<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tumblebooks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/tumblebooks.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tcpclibrary.org\/tumblebooks.htm\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.tcpclibrary.org\/tumblebooks.htm<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.portlandlibrary.com\/kidsplace\/tumblebooks.htm\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.portlandlibrary.com\/kidsplace\/tumblebooks.htm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>TumbleBooks is a pay-for-use site that traditionally sells licenses to libraries and schools.\u00a0 Many public libraries, such as the Tell City, IN Public Library, offer free access to their TumbleBooks account.\u00a0 Students can follow along as the text is read them to help improve comprehension and fluency.\u00a0 Choose from picture books to chapter books.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.portlandlibrary.com\/kidsplace\/tumblebooks.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Portland Public Library<\/a> also has free access to TumbleBookCloud which gives access to Middle and High School level books.\u00a0 If your school decides to purchase a school license, there is also access to the Common Core Portal that includes lessons and quizzes to accompany the books.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>International Children\u2019s Digital Library<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.childrenslibrary.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/en.childrenslibrary.org<\/a>\/<\/p>\n<p>Discover books from around the world at the International Children\u2019s Digital Library.\u00a0 The free site does not read the books aloud, but students can read them independently during Read to Self or free time.\u00a0 This is a great site for extension activities when learning about different regions of the world and can be used effectively into the middle school grades.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>ABCya!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/abcya.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/abcya.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Children can listen to short stories read aloud to them as they follow along with the highlighted text.\u00a0 ABCya! has a variety of educational games in addition to the featured stories.\u00a0 Free resources and materials are available for grades K through 5.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Storynory<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.storynory.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.storynory.com<\/a>\/<\/p>\n<p>Storynory features a collection of original, fairytale, and classic children\u2019s audio stories.\u00a0 Students can follow along with the story as it is read to them, as the text is also included on the site.\u00a0 There are also some great features available that give you the option of downloading the audio to your computer, listening to \u201ccatch phrase\u201d explanations, translating text into different languages (especially helpful for your ELL students!), and more.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>National Geographic Young Explorers<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ngexplorer.cengage.com\/ngyoungexplorer\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/ngexplorer.cengage.com\/ngyoungexplorer\/index.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>National Geographic Young Explorers is a magazine designed specifically for kindergarten and first grade students.\u00a0 Children can listen to the magazine being read to them as they follow along with the highlighted text.\u00a0 It is a great way to bring interesting non-fiction stories into reading center time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Oxford Owl<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordowl.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.oxfordowl.co.uk<\/a>\/<\/p>\n<p>After registering for a free account, you have access to over 250 children\u2019s audio books that can be used in the classroom.\u00a0 The book text is not part of the presentation, so students will not be able to follow along as it is read to
