This week \u00a0we have a \u00a0fun opportunity for students and their families.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow (Tuesday) is FAMILY GAME NIGHT!<\/strong><\/em> This event takes place at Haigh School from 5:30-6:30. Families will play fun and educational games. This family event is free. Games will be available for purchase. I hope to see you there!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This week we continue to take a closer l0ok at the Underground Railroad. \u00a0This network of people helped thousands of African American \u00a0men and women \u00a0from the slavery of the south to freedom in the north. Look for reading and writing assignments on this topic.<\/p>\n In math we continue to look at fractions and decimals.We are working on story problems with decimals this week.<\/p>\n Please review with your student the difference between multiples and factors. For instance, the multiples<\/strong> <\/em>of 8 are 8, 16, 24, 40, 48…numbers that get bigger by 8.<\/p>\n Factors are pairs of numbers that you multiply. For instance, factors<\/strong><\/em> of 8 are 1, 2, 4, and 8.<\/p>\n Again it is so important to spend a short amount of time each night practicing multiplication facts. Thank you for your help and support.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lastly, we end this\u00a0school\u00a0week a PTA Popcorn sale.<\/strong><\/em>We are asking that students pre-order for Friday’s sale.
