Happy Hamburger Day!!

I bet you didn’t think this was a real day to celebrate. Well, it is! What do you put on your hamburger??

Did you know American’s eat over 50 billion hamburgers a year. The hamburger originated in Hamburger, Germany as a hamburg sausage sandwich in 1758. But others think it started on the Hamburg American Cruise line in the Mid 1800’s as a sandwich they gave to the passengers. Then it came to America at the World’s Fair in St. Louis in 1904.

The hamburger is the World’s most widely consumed food from Texas to Thailand and everywhere in between.

So let’s celebrate by having a hamburger today for dinner.

Happy Memorial Day

Today is a day we honor and mourn the military personnel who have died while serving in any United States Armed Forces. This holiday has been observed since 1868 after the Civil War. It became a National holiday in 1971 and is observed on the last Monday in May. This day also marks as an unoffical start of the summer. Stay safe and I miss you all. Mrs. Valerius
