Hello I’m Mrs. Taylor



I am Mrs. W. Taylor and I would like to introduce myself to some and reacquaint myself with my new parents/students. I am 1 of 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder Teachers at O.L. Smith located in room 70.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree (Cognitive Impairment) and my Master’s Degree (Autism Spectrum Disorder) from Wayne State University.

My Teaching Philosophy

Welcome to Mrs. Taylor’s iBlog Teacher Websites Sites. This 2018-2019 school year will a great year teaching in a classroom setting where all students matter . Each child’s individual success is a an accomplishment great or small. Throughout this year we will press towards the mark of individualized excellency.

Learning in my class will be sensory driven , peer interactive, collaborative, challenging, responsible, accountable, strengthening of daily living and independent skills in a motivational manner.

Note: Ms. Ball, Mrs. Saad, and, myself will work collaboratively to meet and exceed student goals and assist student’s in their growth academically, behaviorally, and socially.

2018/2019 SCHOOL YEAR

This year the ASD self contained classroom will take part in a new “Coteaching” initiative. The team will include 3 Special Education teachers, 6 paraprofessionals, and 21 students. Our goal is to supply our students with a collaborative and comprehensive educational, social, and community based education.

In preparation students will take part in the General education classroom settings, which that integral partnership that extends supports to all students for everyday success and progress.

Friendly Reminder: On a daily basis students will accompany their School Journal home, to maintain the home to school relationship.
