We have been working on basic skills (rounding, converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, as well as long division). Additionally, we have started discussing absolute value during class. The notes we took today are posted below.

First Day of School: Tuesday, September 5th

Welcome 7th students and parents! I look forward to a great year with all of you.

Attached is our class syllabus, however, I will go through each component with students in class throughout this week. I will check that it has been signed by both the student and parent by Friday, September 15th.

7th Grade Mathematics Syllabus 17-18


For now, students are expected to begin gathering their supplies for our classroom. All required supplies are due Tuesday, September 12th.


7th Grade Math Supplies Required:

  • Composition Notebook that will be used for your Math Interactive notebook only. NO SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS PLEASE.
  • Binder: 3 ring binder that is 1 or 1½  inches.
  • 1 set of dividers/tabs: Need at least 4 dividers for binder.  
  • 1 pack of Pencils: You are expected to do math work in sharpened or mechanical pencils.  These will need to be replaced throughout the year.
  • Colored Pencils


  • Scissors
  • Glue Sticks
  • Dry-Erase markers: Fine tip if possible



Extra Credit Supplies (2 points each)

  • Tissues, Hand Sanitizer, Clorox wipes
