Happy New Year “2017” to All: Students and Parents/Guardians,
Although I missed you all, it was wonderful to rest a bit, catch up on appointments, read, and spend time with my children, grandchildren, and friends. I hope you enjoyed your time away from school, got some great reading done, and savored every moment with your families as well.
Thank you (current and former students) for the many gifts, cards, pictures, and good wishes for my Christmas and New Year. You and your families are very generous. I loved each and every gift, heartfelt gesture, and thought bestowed upon me, but please remember that you (students) are my greatest gifts. I’m blessed to be spending my days with you. Thank you, parents, for the gift of your precious children.
We’ll begin 2017 with reflecting on our 2016 academic and personal goals. Then, considering we’ll soon begin NWEA testing, we’ll write new goals which will help us with any academic challenges we may have and focus our learning for a successful 2017. Government will be our social studies topic, we’ll dive deeper into multiplication, matter for science, and informational writing. As always, we’ll learn a lot and have fun doing it.
I’m looking forward to all that 2017 promises: Many successes, deep learning, happy memories, great friendships, and wonderful moments spent together. I hope you are too!
