MASC Field Trip Information/DUE DATES

The $100 Deposit and Permission Slip are both due to Mr. McCarter  (A2) or Mr. Foley (D4) by this Friday 3/15. Please make sure that your deposit is CASH. Checks cannot be used because the office cannot cash them and give us to use for expenses on the trip like gas, camping or fire wood. Once I have a final number, then I will calculate the remaining cost and communicate that ASAP. The remainder of the payment will be due at the mandatory trip meeting on Friday 3/29. It will be between $200-250.

The itinerary is listed below. These trips have been a huge success over the past 2 years. Students who have gone have learned a LOT and have had a great time. Our trip will begin Thursday afternoon when we depart from DHS. Friday Morning we will be doing 2 Ranger led activities, the first of which will involve about 2 hours outside in the elements. Saturday we will be doing a Ranger led Historical and Wildlife viewing tour, followed by a 6 mile hike to Abrams Falls, the largest in the park. Sunday will be our return journey. Departing by 10 am and arriving at DHS at approximately 6:30.

You need to bring: Dinner for Thursday night, money for food on the drive home on Sunday, warm and weather-appropriate clothing and gear for the trip (borrow what you can!).

Cost Includes: Ranger programs, lodging, transportation, 7 meals, 1 life changing experience
