This is our last couple of days for the 2019-2020 school year. Although our traditional classroom experience was interrupted with a pandemic, the first few months were wonderful. I will miss everyone and hope the best for the future. Enjoy your upcoming summer break!

We’re in our final two weeks of school and many students have done a wonderful job completing the required assignments. Students who did not have the opportunity to finish the assignments, will have the final weeks to do so. Therefore, our final weeks of school will be dedicated to students who need to make up any missing work and will have until June 8, 2020 to take advantage of this opportunity. There will not be any new assignments posted for students to complete.

I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend break and had a wonderful Eid! This week we will continue reading The City of Ember. Our focus will be on chapters 14 and 15, along with a pre-reading and post-reading activity. The pre-reading activity includes a prediction/journal writing task and the post-reading activity focuses on types of conflict. I highly recommend that students read the text and listen to the audio, simultaneously, to help build comprehension. Each activity is worth 10 points and due Sunday, May 31, 2020. The assignment had been uploaded in Google Classroom.
