PTA Reflections Contest

Dear Parents,

Every year the National PTA Council sponsors a contest for students.  They say “PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home.  Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2017-2018 Theme: Within Reach.

The arts – and the National PTA Reflections program- support student success and serve as a valuable tool for building strong partnerships in your school community.  Celebrate arts learning in your school community with Reflections.

National PTA Reflections welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts.  Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.”

The Art Department participates from Snow, but in the past there have been few to zero participants in most categories.  This year we are hoping students will catch the bug and find a category they are interested in AND create something they will submit.

Each classroom has a handout on the specifics for the categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts.  The  information is also posted by the Art Room and in the Lobby.

Please encourage your children to find something of interest and be4 creative.  If you have questions please see or email Mrs. Reagan Davis, Snow Reflections Chairperson, davis.reagan@gmail.com, or Ms. Jo Anne Zechar, zecharj@dearbornschools.org.

All entries are due to Ms. Zechar by the end of the day, Tuesday, November 21st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
