Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

 

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  Continue reading

The attached papers describe the assignment for the final PowerPoint presentation.  It will be due in the dropbox by the end of class on Tuesday, November 11th.  Presentations will begin on Wednesday, November 12th.

This is a summative assessment that is worth 50 points

Halloween Flyer Assignment

Microsoft Word Assignment 2

Create a Halloween Flyer that invites people to an imaginary (or real) event and includes the following:

  • At least 3 different colors of font, your choice.
  • At least 3 different fonts of your choice, WordArt must be included as well.
  • At least 2 columns with a column break (this means the whole page cannot be in two columns, some of it must be full page text.)
  • At least 2 different shapes.
  • At least 2 different pictures. Pictures must be related to your flyer, and modified and/or enhanced in some way.
  • Choose an appropriate background color.

Be creative, the flyer should look neat, be balanced visually and have a variety of Halloween colors.

This is due in the Halloween flyer dropbox on ILearn by Friday, October 10th at midnight.  There are no exceptions to the deadline as Friday is the end of the card marking.  This is worth 25 SUMMATIVE points.

Computer Applications

Welcome to 7th and 8th grade Computer Applications!

This is a one semester course where students will learn how to keyboard, as well as to use Microsoft Office programs.  We will practice keyboarding everyday and learn all there is to know about Word, PowerPoint and Excel.  Most assignments will be obtained and submitted through ILearn found on the Dearborn Public Schools website.
