General Info

Hello! My name is Mrs. VanWallaghen, and I am the teacher for the 3rd through 5th grade Mild Cognitive Impairment Resource Program at Miller Elementary.

If you would like to know a little bit more about me, I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with my degree in Special Education. I grew up in Livonia, MI with my parents and two siblings. Both of my siblings have special needs, and they inspired me to go into the field of special education. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, traveling, yoga, and camping. During the summer you can often find me up north exploring.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child at all throughout the year, don’t hesitate to call or email me at vanwalr@dearbornschools.org, and I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
