Today in class the 8th graders took their linear inequality quiz. Classwork was to highlight read and solve the problems on the, “Systems of Equations” text. Also complete “Substitution #3”, on scrap paper.

Today in class the 6th grade took part 2 of their quiz. Today’s IXL are 6.U.3 & 6.G.4 (NO CALCULATOR).

Tuesday, Feb. 14

Today in class the 8th graders learned more about substitution to solve a system of equations. Classwork to be finished at home is called, “Applying Substitution Bookwork”. You have a quiz Thursday on graphing a linear inequality.

Today in class the 6th graders solved equations with exponents and roots. Classwork to be finished at home is called, “Solving Two Step Equations”.  The quiz tomorrow is on solving equations and graphing inequalities.

Monday, Feb 13

Today in class the 8th graders took a quiz on graphing systems of equations. Classwork was called “Summer Swimming”, and Substitution bookwork can be finished at home if needed. Your quiz Thursday is on graphing linear inequalities.

Today in class the 6th graders solved real world equations with a partner. Today’s IXL is 6.Z.9 which will help you study for the next quiz. Your quiz on Equations & Inequalities will be Wednesday and Thursday!

Friday, Feb 10

Today in class the 8th graders worked together to solve real world systems of equations algebraically. Homework is to complete IXL 8.AA.2 to prepare for Monday’s quiz on graphing systems.

Today in class the 6th graders worked to solve one step equations with bar models. Bar Models Bookwork was started in class and should be finished at home.

Thursday, Feb. 9

Today in class the 8th graders learned about break even points and solved systems algebraically. There is no homework unless you didn’t finish classwork.
