Week of March 30-April 3

Posted by Swsan Beydoun on March 29, 2020 in Class News |

Greetings,

Hope all is well, and everyone is adjusting to our new normal. Today marks three weeks since our online instruction started. I’m very lucky to have such an amazing group of parents and students. We are all in this together. I might sound like a broken record at times, but it’s the truth. This is new to over 1. 5 million students and 100, 000 staff members across Michigan. But we are very fortunate to be part of Dearborn Public Schools. With the amazing leadership we have, we are a step ahead of other districts. We should consider ourselves Lucky. However I’m very sad that the classroom interaction had to end this way. Summer vacation has not started yet. Until then we will continue working together to make sure our students succeed and don’t lose out on instruction. Please lets continue working together. We have the same goal. That goal is to prepare our students for fifth grade.

Next week I will not be posting any work. We will be on Spring Break until April 13th. However, if you have any questions or need any assistance please know that you can always reach out to me via remind text. With that all being said, God Bless You and Please Stay Home and Stay Safe.

Congratulations Parents and Students. We have made it to week 3 of online instruction. I hope everyone is doing well and remaining safe. Safety is our number one priority. We are all in this together. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me via remind text or email me at beydous4@dearbornschools.org. Students please check your email. I will be emailing you feedback.

Parents please keep your kids at home. During the mandated shut down, all school playgrounds & athletic fields, will be closed to the public.  If you are found on the property you will be asked to leave.  Please stay at home!  Do not visit friends and family! Stay healthy and stay safe!

Reading: Please continue to complete 45 minutes a week on I-ready. I have assigned two lessons to all of you (“Text Structures: Part 1” & “Comparing Story Topics & Themes”). Completing these two lessons will give you the needed minutes, the goal is to pass the lesson at 85%. March is Reading Month tickets will still be passed out when school resumes in April. Nice Job boys and girls 97% of our class met the goal of 45 minutes of I ready. My goal is for each and everyone of you to get an 85% or higher on your lessons this week. It’s the last week of March is reading month. You all did a great job. Boys and girls please don’t forget to read a book of your choice daily for 20 minutes.
