College Fair for All Dearborn Area Students
Tuesday, Sept. 20, Ford Community & Performing Arts Center
The Dearborn Public Schools is partnering with MACRAO* (Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars & Admissions Officers) to host a College Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 6:30-8 p.m.
Interested students from Dearborn and surrounding districts are welcome to attend this free event at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn 48126.
Representatives from more than 60 different universities, colleges, trade schools, law enforcement agencies, and U.S. Armed Forces will be available to talk directly with students.
“Not every student who graduates from high school will go on to a four year university but we know that in order to be employable in the 21st century job market every student will need some type of post high school education,” commented Ms. Gail Welmers, Counselor at Edsel Ford High School.
This event provides students with a great opportunity to talk with several different schools in our area, state, and out of state that offer programs that may be of interest to them,” Welmers added.
Just a few of the participating educational institutions include:
College for Creative Studies
Grand Valley State
Henry Ford College
University of Detroit Mercy
University of Michigan
University of Windsor
University of Illinois- Chicago
Columbia College- Chicago
Savanna College of Art & Design
Plus many others.
